Students aged 15 to 18 from St Johns School, Enfield, worked with ENO’s (English National Opera) Head of Millinery, Megan Bearup, to explore shadows, shapes and sculpture. This was an opportunity for students to gain an insight into the workings of an opera house, and to consider a range of creative professions and careers. Using William Kentridge: Thick Time as a springboard for ideas, students turned 2D designs into 3D wearable sculptures.
Excellent Masterclass, well organised resourced and expertly led! Really relevant to the pupils class work, they will use the new skills and the entire experience gained as part of their course work. Pupils learnt a lot about the day-to-day work of a milliner, contemporary art and the work of William Kentridge. Thank you again! Head of Art, St Johns School, Enfield
