Artist Jaspar Joseph-Lester and writer Simon King lead a walk, which explores elements of Los Angeles in the East End.
The walk will draw from the publication Parallel Urbanisms: London-Los Angeles, which they recently co-edited with Norman M. Klein and Harriet Edwards.
Joseph-Lester and King are co-founders of Walkative, a research project that explores how walking can trigger processes of making, thinking and researching. In particular, the project considers how the city contains forgotten narratives, marginalised knowledge and contested materialities that are best accessed through the act of walking. Joseph-Lester and King are co-editors of Walking Cities: London (Camberwell Press, 2017).
This event is now fully booked.
