For one night only, Nocturnal Creatures festival transforms Whitechapel Gallery and unusual, historic and outdoor locations nearby. Set imaginations alight through incredible, unique experiences – from free live performances to installations, music, film and DJ sets.
The festival is free and open to all. Access to timed performances and set venues will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. To view the full programme, click here. Get special, after-hours access to incredible spaces around East London, including House of Annetta, St Boniface Church, Toynbee Hall, the Hickman, Aldgate Square, and Bishopsgate Institute.
The exciting commissions and takeovers of the festival complement the Gallery’s summer exhibition programme, and are accompanied by a host of other performances as part of Sculpture and the City. Nocturnal Creatures offers a unique platform for artists to exhibit in the public realm and reach new audiences.
Enhance your experience on the night by enjoying a special four-course meal at Townsend Restaurant, inspired by the work of artist Emma Talbot, or dine at one of the recommended restaurants in the Brick Lane or Middlesex Street area. The area has a diverse dining offer with a great range of cuisines for you to enjoy.
