Youth Takeover: Mapping the Studio

In Spring 2022 Duchamp & Sons worked with multi-disciplinary artist Shepherd Manyika, and guest artist Illustrator Ben Connors, to explore ideas of mapping, journeys, and place.

Through discussions, experimentation with sound and mark making, and visits to the Spring 2022 season of exhibitions at Whitechapel Gallery which focused on the idea of studios the group began focussed their energies on mapping out an ideal studio space.

In May 2022, the group staged a Takeover of Whitechapel Gallery featuring activity spread across three floors featuring tours, drawing and making activities and more.
