Whitechapel Gallery is delighted to announce the fifteen artists selected for the 2025 edition of The London Open, which this year focuses on live art practices.
On the evening of Monday 3 March 2025, Colombian artist, Doris Salcedo (b. 1958, Bogotá) was presented with Whitechapel Gallery’s prestigious annual Art Icon Award, which celebrates the work of an artist who has made a profound contribution to the artistic landscape and influenced a generation of artists.
Bidding opens today for the 2025 Art Icon Auction, with a stellar lineup of works from leading contemporary artists in support of Whitechapel Gallery’s Exhibition and Participation Programmes.
