Serving Climpson & Sons coffee, Nemi teas, refreshing soft drinks and a delectable selection of homemade bakes, the warm and wonderful women-led Alba Caffe team provide a weekly changing menu of sweet treats and irresistible savoury morsels. Eat in or cake away.
Every Thursday Alba Caffe stays open until 8.30pm for Whitechapel Lates, serving New Theory wines, Italian-inspired aperitivo nibbles and an £8 spritz and snack deal.

Based in Toynbee Studios, just round the corner from Whitechapel Gallery, Alba Caffe & Event Space is an oasis of tranquillity and delicious food. Established in 2023, run by by food and travel writer Phoebe Hunt, alongside Head Chef Jess Rose Young, their weekly changing menu of seasonal uses fresh, high-quality produce sourced from local and UK producers including Cacklebean Eggs from the Cotswolds, Norfolk Estate Dairy Milk and Yogurt, bread from E5 Bakehouse and vegetables from Lincolnshire based farmers, Ted’s Veg.
Everything from the sourdough focaccia to the pastry for the sausage rolls is made in house. Signature bakes include tahini blondies and doughnuts with a different filling each week!
