Enjoy an afternoon of creative fun with your family, inspired by the Gallery’s current exhibitions.
The major show Electronic Superhighway (2016-1966) explores how the Internet is changing art. Delve into digital technology, art and ideas with artist Chloe Cooper. Choose a scenario, build props and make short films to take home.
Inspired by the display Intellectual Barbarians: The Kibbo Kift Kindred, get crafty with artist Rebecca Davies. Create your own outfits like the colourful costumes worn by the group. Accompanied by a lively soundtrack of rhythm and beats – dancing is welcome!
This event is suitable for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Booking advised but drop-in welcome.
Devised specially for families by artist Jenny Moore, stream the Electronic Superhighway Sound Trail on your smart phone or tablet or pick up a device* at the Gallery.
Use the trail to spark your imagination and see, hear and investigate the exhibition. Interact with works including James Bridle’s hologram, Thomson & Craighead’s karaoke machine and Rafael Lozano Hemmer’s giant moving eye.
