Join Whitechapel Gallery’s youth collective, Duchamp & Sons, for a specially programmed night celebrating their current exhibition Moving Grounds: 15 Years of Duchamp & Sons.
Inspired by one of the lines of Duchamp & Sons’ manifesto – ‘we meet, we talk, we eat’ – this collaboratively curated event will be a space for connecting with others, exchanging ideas, and getting creative.
Through interactive activities dotted throughout the galleries, Duchamp & Sons have created an environment all about finding our commonalities and exploring our collective histories.
Free, drop in, and suitable for all ages.

An Archive of You: A collaborative drawing activity celebrating the archive of memories we’re made up of

Duchamp & Sons is Whitechapel Gallery’s collective of young people from across East London who meet regularly at the gallery and collaborate on creative projects with artists. They experiment with art, share space for food and conversation, and create exhibitions, events, and new artworks as a collective.
This event will close with an open mic from 8pm-8.30pm in the Gallery 2 space.
Anyone is welcome to take the mic and perform something – whether that be a poem, a piece of writing, or a song. The technical set up will include a single microphone.
The theme of the open mic is Collective Histories, Shared Futures.
