Navine G Khan-Dossos’ installation in Toynbee Hall’s newly renovated historic Ashbee Hall comprises a series of vivid ‘aniconic’ paintings that she has created during the run of her current exhibition at The Showroom. The paintings take as their starting point a number of the logos produced for The Prevent Strategy, the government’s counter-terrorism policy. The work embodies research from the exhibition, which has become a site to reconsider this contested policy. Also on display is a logo produced in collaboration with Whitechapel Gallery’s Youth Forum, Duchamp & Sons.
