About This Event
– This event takes place in Gallery 2 and the Zilkha Auditorium at Whitechapel Gallery, both ground floor spaces.
– You do not require a ticket to attend this event, however if we reach capacity you may be refused entry
– You are welcome to bring children to this event
– We are unable to provide British Sign Language interpretation for this event
– We are unable to provide live closed captioning or CART for this event.
– This event last approximately 6 hours.
Transport
– To the best of our knowledge, there are no planned disruptions to local transport on the date of the event.
– Our nearest train station – Aldgate East Underground (1 min) is not wheelchair accessible. The closest wheelchair accessible stations are Whitechapel (15 min), Shoreditch High Street (15 min) or Liverpool Street (15 min).
– Free parking for Blue Badge holders is available at the top of Osborn Street in the pay and display booths for an unlimited period. Spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.

Live performances, film, music, dance, artists talks and food curated by Numbi Arts celebrate the launch of the Somali Museum exhibition and festival programme at Whitechapel Gallery. Rooted in the East End with a canopy that rises globally to include a roster of local, regional and international artists, this year’s Numbi Festival theme is Be the Sky.
The festival features talks from Amal Alhaag, films from Fuad Abdulaziz, and Mohammed Deria, poetry from Samater Elmi, Sara Farah and Al Saddiq Al Raddi, DJ sets from Elmi Original and Amal Alhaag, alongside a performance from Dur Dur Band.
