Visit the studios of The London Open 2015 artists including Karl Bielik, Ben Cove, Tim Ellis, Damien Meade and Tim Stoner on a day trip in east London. Karl Bielik shifts between a variety of techniques to create abstract paintings on irregular canvases in his loose oil works. Ben Cove combines his architecture background with powdery paints and neon-bright lights in his paintings and sculptures. Tim Ellis highlights the overlap between artifice and natural order in paintings, sculptures and installations. Damien Meade’s paintings create a dialogue between portraiture, still life, subject and objects in their fanciful depictions of lively yet inanimate objects. Tim Stoner lives and works in London and Malaga, Spain, creating ethereal figurative paintings.
