Join us for this latest edition of our Young Creatives Nights, featuring guest artist Maria Mahfooz.
You can expect an evening of socialising, some silliness, and time to delve into Maria’s own playful artistic practice which mixes humour, and digital culture, with explorations of identity and othering.
Co-curated by a team of Duchamp & Sons alumni, these nights are designed for those aged roughly 21-30 and are informal spaces for making new connections. This edition is curated in collaboration with D&S alumni Sara Ismail, and Sammara Abbasi, and Mohammed Adel.
Maria Mahfooz (b.1995 London) is the green screen queen and performative Princess of Manor Park, her practice is often autobiographical, messy, and guided by her shady identity. As a self described skinny legend, works play on othering within the framework of popular culture whilst currently in her flop era. Diva down!
