Leyden Gallery is delighted to present the guest curated exhibition Nature/Nurture curated by artist Tilla Crowne.
This group show presents a range of works in various media that challenge our sense of self. In doing so it raises questions of the inherent quality of nature and what the intervention of nurturing produces. Are we the sum of our biological material, our genes and the limitations of our physical bodies, or are we products of our upbringing and environment? What happens when nature starts to reclaim those environments? Who are we when it comes to reclaim us?
Featuring works from artists including Tilla Crowne, Emma Grant, Tzipporah Johnston, Anna Levy, Jacqueline Nicholls, Rekha Sameer and Gregory Steckelmacher
