Lumen Studio is a gallery space and collective of artists based in London. We explore themes of astronomy and light to raise a dialogue on humanity’s understanding of existence. Curating exhibitions and workshops in a number of spaces and churches across the UK and Europe, we also run an international residency program in Atina, Italy.
Lumen Studio is based in the crypt of St John on Bethnal Green, a listed building designed by Sir John Soane in the 19th Century.

Lumen Studio gallery is located within The Crypt at St John on Bethnal Green Church.
The gallery is accessible from the front of the church on Cambridge Heath Road, to the left of the main church entrance.
It’s located next to Bethnal Green tube and is a short walk from Cambridge Heath Station (5 minutes) and Whitechapel station (10 minutes).
