We appreciate your willingness to participate in the London Art Book Fair and to make this event happen in these unprecedented times. The London Art Book Fair holds a very special place in Whitechapel Gallery’s programme and every year we look forward to celebrating the latest in arts publishing with you.
It is with great sadness therefore that we must inform you of our decision to not go ahead with the LABF this year. We have been very closely reviewing the feasibility of organising a book fair in these times, and it has become apparent that the challenges on both the Gallery’s and publishers’ side are too high, with unpredictable travel restrictions and quarantine, the uncertainty of a second COVID-19 wave and shifting government guidelines around indoor gatherings.
We are looking at online options to continue our support, and we hope to keep collaborating with you on other channels. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions or suggestions, and we look forward to seeing you again very soon.
