Students from The Garden SEN Secondary School, Hackney, worked with artist Sam Ayre to explore relationships between the body and mark making. Students visited the exhibition William Kentridge: Thick Time and back in the classroom experimented with materials, lines and shapes, to develop ideas for a large scale collaborative drawing.
Students responded positively to the exhibition, they were engaged and curious. Keywords and visuals were specially made for my students and were very effective. Thanks to these visuals students were able to better understand the exhibition. Head of Art, The Garden School, Hackney.
